I’ve started listening to podcasts during my 80 minutes of daily commuting and daily dog walking.
Most recently I’ve found the strategy and marketing discussions posted by David Maister most entertaining and informative, if not a little bit British. For anyone who does not know who Maister is, I encourage a visit to his web site. He is an author, former Harvard Business School professor and consultant to professional services firms on strategy, client relations and marketing. On his site he has a number of multi-media items for review – white papers, downloadable seminars etc. that I frankly find a bit overwhelming.
However, I have found great use for his 15-minute topical podcasts called "David Maister’s Business Masters’ Class" that I get direct from iTunes. They give me just right amount of early morning brain juice to start my day or end it. I highly recommend them for anyone dealing with people – whether it be external clients or internal ones they need to advise, motivate, lead or work with in any other capacity.
